When The Inquirer himself isn’t busy teaching at uni, studying deep magic, or keeping first-years’ hair un-burnt during practicals, he may be summoned for certain purposes as follows:

  1. If you haven’t already, be sure to follow Arcturus Emrys’s socials or join the Celestial Sphere as a display of your devotion.

  2. Draw a magic circle around your streaming setup. Any media will do, but chalk is preferred. (Please do not use blood of any kind as casting media.)

  3. Arrange your preferred magical implements as appropriate to form leylines at the edge of the circle.

  4. Make an offering of a book of your preferred magical knowledge. The book will not be consumed, but it will be read.

  5. Invoke the name Arcturus Emrys, yr Ymholgar. State his name with intention, and make your request in plain English or simple Japanese.

If all went well, and you followed the steps correctly, Arcturus will appear in the middle of the circle. If Arcturus does not appear, he may be busy. Try messaging him on his socials, that usually gets his attention.

Purpose of Summoning

Arcturus Emrys may be summoned for any of the following purposes:

  • Co-host or “collab” game streaming. If you wish to stream with Arcturus, you will additionally have to complete the ritual of scheduling.

  • Artistic collaborations, especially those of a magical bent.

  • To learn the principles of magic.

  • To uncover the secrets of the universe. (Arcturus Emrys is not responsible for any injury to one’s mental facilities that may result.)

The following are impermissible reasons to summon Arcturus Emrys:

  • To settle a petty dispute.

  • To advertise your newest “artificially intelligent” magical construct, or the ramblings produced by such a thing therein.

  • Any other reason based in your own selfish benefit.
